He has revealed to me the perfect creature of sweetness and beauty.
She has passed through my life, but only at a distance. And now I know what is possible, but I fear it will not be for me. I will only know what might have been.
I will pass from this life never knowing the taste of her lips, the touch of her hand upon my cheek or the warmth of her body lying next to me at night.
My life will be the lesser for never knowing these things, but His consolation will be that I knew they existed.
